I recently got interested in this band thanks mainly to the fact that Stephenie Meyer almost always mentions them in the acknowledgements at the end of the Twilight books. So a few days ago I went on Amazon.com and checked out their debut album Showbiz. Of course the less than 30-second sound samples don't give you a representative picture of the entire album. Even so I was impressed enough to order a copy for myself. I was curious if there are any other fans on here.
I wouldn't call myself a fan, but I have all their albums and have liked them from around the time of their first release, it was very popular in Europe and they even played in Iceland a couple of years back.
They tend towards the ridiculous and over mellowdramatic at times but when they get it right they're one of the best bands out there.
Showbiz is very simple and basic compared to their later albums where they use orchestras, piano and huge huge soundscapes. My favorite album of theirs would have to be their most recent one "Black HOles and Revelations", but both "Absolution" and "Origins of Symmetry" are good albums. I'd definitely order all of them for a good music experience, starting with Black Holes, songs like "Starlight", "City of Dillution" and "Supermassive Blackhole" are brilliant.
Well it is my goal to own all four of their main albums and, once it comes out, their newest one. So far I've really liked what I've heard.
I also own their albums, not sure if I have all of them, I should really give them a listen, haven't really given them much thought.
Like I said I hadn't even heard of them until I read the Twilight novels.

i've been with muse ever since I stopped listening only to metal. Definitely one of my favorites. Absolution or Origin of Simmetry is their best album in my oppinion but I can't make up my mind. they connect classical music and rock in a way I don't know any other band doing. I'm a fan.
I like Origin a little better than Absolution but they're both excellent. My favorite's got to be New Born on Origin. But I'm really liking Black Holes and Revelations. My favorites on that one are Starlight and Invincible, the latter of which is unofficially mine and my fiance's second song, the first being Bring me to Life by Evanescence.
